Gyan Changera is a vibrant online platform dedicated to Maithili books, knowledge, and culture.
An initiative by Maithili Machaan, in collaboration with
CSTS (Centre for Studies of Traditions and Systems), it is your gateway to discover, read,
and celebrate Maithili literature in both physical and digital formats.

What’s in a Changera?

In Mithila, the changera is a bamboo basket used in almost every sacred ritual and cultural
ceremony—from weddings and pujas to community celebrations. It carries offerings, gifts, and blessings — it carries meaning.

Inspired by that tradition, Gyan Changera offers curated book bundles called
“Chengera Collections” — thoughtful literary offerings designed to deepen understanding
of Maithili literature and culture.
